Hello, I’m Emily.

First and foremost, I’m a mother.

Motherhood has completely changed me, bringing me closer to who I always dreamt of being (even though I hadn’t always pictured myself being a mom).

The transition from maiden to mother was a rocky one for me. I resisted it, didn’t want to give up my independence, grieved how I was once viewed by the world, had to watch parts of my ego and identity shrink while throwing a hissy fit…

Motherhood has also helped me get better at asking for what I want and need, setting boundaries, slowing down, bringing in more play and spaciousness into my days, collaborating with others and asking for help, having the hard conversations, and letting go of the things that I don’t care about.

As part of this, I’ve officially gone “ex-corporate” and in full commitment to supporting mothers and families.

Because I believe in the power that doing so can hold.

Why?

When I look at our society through the lens of my motherhood, I dream of a different orientation: towards our communal family, to childhood, to connection and attachment, a celebration of the ways in which we rely on one another and benefit from honoring this truth.

I hold vision for a world that uplifts and celebrates the mother as the portal from which life is born.

The journey she has to take to bring life into the world; the sacrificial offering of her body and all that she’s ever known to make that a reality; the holding of and support that needs to meet the period of time that is postpartum, after birth.

I’m here to destigmatize all that shames us and silences us and isolates us in our experience of mothering; coming together in our acknowledgement that we are all doing our best in conditions that haven’t been designed with our best interest in mind, while holding a hope, dream, and readiness to create something else — another option, another way, another possibility, another future.

WHY YOU’RE HERE

You don’t have to identify as a mother. You can use whatever pronouns you desire. You may or may not be a parent; perhaps you see yourself as part of the wider community that is here raising our collective children at this time. Maybe parenting is something you see for yourself in the future, or maybe you have graduated to the critical role of elder and have that wisdom to share.

The dream I’m imagining is one that we MUST create collectively, together.

Each of us has a role to play; picking up our pieces of the puzzle and working together to make something beautiful.

HOW CAN WE WORK TOGETHER?

I’m prioritizing supporting:

  • Mamas and mamas-to-be who are looking for support navigating their matrescence experience, are ready to reclaim motherhood, and would like to be a part of a 1:1 personalized coaching container — or — would be interested in a group coaching container (to be released sometime in 2025)

  • Mamas and mamas-to-be who have an interest in “revillaging” and would like support in getting clear on their vision and strategies for experimentation that could bring that vision to life

  • Podcasts that would like to bring me on as a guest to speak about matrescence, reclaiming motherhood, and my own vision for the world

WHAT I BRING TO THE SPACE:

  • 8 years of formal coaching experience, including coaching certification through CTI’s coaching program (recognized by the International Coaching Federation as a top tier program)

  • Mindful Facilitation training with Stir Fry Seminars (Lee Mun Wah)

  • Hosting and Producing This Is How We Care Podcast, 2 complete seasons

  • 6 years working with Advertising and Marketing industries in a variety of roles (Account Management, Production, Creative Resourcing, Talent Development)

  • 3 years as a Talent Development consultant + Diversity Equity & Inclusion facilitator

  • Completion of the year-long Team, Management & Leadership program (via Landmark’s Communication Program)

  • 200HR Yoga Teacher training certification (Tamal Dodge)

  • Leading women’s circles and retreats designed to connect us with our true nature and one another

  • 30+ years of holding space for others as a daughter, sister, partner, colleague, friend, and now mother

I am a lifelong learner and am currently studying with the following mentors, coaches and programs to bring more value to the ways that I can support others and show up in my own life:

  • Postpartum Pleasure course (Nanna Salver + Fanny Broholm)

  • Institute for Integrative Nutrition Health Coaching Program

  • Motherhood Studies Certification with Dr. Sophie Brock

A thread through all of these experiences are my love for writing, facilitation, question-asking, producing, organizing (ideas, relationships, things), being in relationship with the natural world, and of course, the creative and spiritual journey of being a mother.

To stay connected with me or to work together:

I look forward to hearing from you!
